APU was announced as among the Highest Rated Universities in Malaysia, being rated at TIER 5 (EXCELLENT) under the SETARA 2016/17 Ratings by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). APU has also achieved 5-Star Ratings in 4 key areas under the QS Ratings system in 2017: Teaching, Employability, Facilities, and Inclusiveness. It is the first Malaysian university and one of only 18 universities in the world to achieve this rating.
APU is also ranked in the top 350 Universities in the QS World Ranking – Asia 2021, while also Ranked 1st in Asia for International Students and International Faculty. Based on the QS Rankings, APU is among the top 10 ranked Private Universities in Malaysia.
APU has also been awarded the status of Premier Digital Tech University by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) – a status endorsed by the Ministry of Education signifying APU’s leading role in developing global talent in Digital Technology across a broad range of domain areas.
