He mentioned 21 random ideas in HR Management but here are the 10 I liked the most<\/em><\/p>\n<p>1- People have a life outside of work &#8211; and it makes them better employees&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>2- The best performers usually don&#8217;t make the best managers.<\/p>\n<p>3- \u00a0Performance appraisals don&#8217;t work.\u00a0Regular, ongoing feedback does.<\/p>\n<p>4- \u00a0People do better work when they feel it&#8217;s meaningful and challenging.<\/p>\n<p>5- \u00a0When you talk in HR jargon, you lose trust and credibility.<\/p>\n<p>6- \u00a0The best HR pros interact with their employees every day.<\/p>\n<p>7- \u00a0Those who perform well in interviews don&#8217;t necessarily turn out to be good at work too (so much for psychometric this-that-and-the-other)<\/p>\n<p>8- \u00a0Just because someone did something well at one organization doesn&#8217;t mean they&#8217;ll do it well at yours.
