It is the most requested column I&#8217;ve ever written\u201d. <\/em><\/div>\n<div><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">Here are the selected ones worth remembering<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">1. Life isn&#8217;t fair, but it&#8217;s still good.<\/div>\n<div>2. When in doubt, just take the next small step&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><!--more--><\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">4. You don&#8217;t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">5. Cry with someone. It&#8217;s more healing than crying alone.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">6. It&#8217;s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">7. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">8. Make peace with your past so it won&#8217;t screw up the present.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">9. Don&#8217;t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">10. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn&#8217;t be in it.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">11. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">12. It&#8217;s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">13. Over prepare, then go with the flow.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">14. Be eccentric now. Don&#8217;t wait for old age to wear purple.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">15. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">16. What other people think of you is none of your business.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">17. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">18. Don&#8217;t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">19. Growing old beats the alternative &#8212; dying young.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">20. Your children get only one childhood.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">21. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\">22. The best is yet to come.<\/div>\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\"><\/div>\n<div>My favorites are no.16 and 22.
