Kawatani-san had previously completed his postgraduate degree in Economics from Tokyo University, one of Japan’s best universities. This had obviously equipped him with the discipline and diligence required for an international MBA. He joined the USQ Australia MBA Project Management program at MDi Business School and secured excellent grades during the MBA. He then got transferred back to Japan in 2010 and was allowed by USQ to complete his last course and exams in Tokyo.
Kawatani san was a keen marathon runner and could be seen often running in and around the Islamabad area with friends. He graduated with the MBA in December 2010
This is what he had to say about his experience at MDi:
“I worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Pakistan and was in charge of transport projects like road construction and other technical projects.
I found the USQ MBA quite useful as it thoroughly covered many aspects of business such as accounting, management, statistics, economics, marketing, etc. and this knowledge is so important for you to have if you want to survive in today’s business world. Even though I worked in the public sector, I had to deal with many kinds of people in different kinds of situations and I am happy to say that the USQ MBA equipped me with skills that have helped me to do better work for JICA.
MDi was a great help as I don’t think I could have done this kind of a program by myself. I received great administrative and academic support from the MDi team and I had a good time here.”
