Ahmad Timsal

Ahmad Timsal graduated in June 2013 with an MBA Global Business Management from USQ Australia. He was at the time a Senior Consultant (Business Development) at IBM Global Business Services. Ahmad started his MBA program at MDi Pakistan and studied here for 5 semesters then decided to spend the last semester on campus at USQ Australia. Ahmad changed later to the academic profession and we understand he is now completing his Ph.D in the UK.

This is what he had to say about his experience:

“I started my MBA with USQ and MDi in July 2011, while working at IBM. Being an important step in my career, I took my time to evaluate various options available in Pakistan. Honestly, I found USQ’s MBA to be the best option, as it not only provided me with an opportunity to ‘learn’ something unique in a non-traditional way but also allowed me to manage my work and study schedules effectively. The environment, facilitators and especially the staff at MDi was always very cordial and extremely helpful.

During my studies, I found that USQ’s teaching approach focused more on real-life business and management issues which helps working professionals like me to relate the taught concepts with actual issues we face in our professional lives. I was quite impressed with the structure and content of the courses being taught, as it was regularly updated to include latest concepts and trends. The university staff also provided all the required support, wherever necessary.

In my eagerness to explore more about USQ, I decided to attend my last few courses at USQ’s state of the art campus at Toowoomba, Australia. I must say it was the experience of a lifetime. I was so impressed by the campus facilities, caliber of the teachers in the Faculty of Business and Law and the hospitality of the local community in Toowoomba. I would like to encourage all the students enrolled with USQ here in Pakistan to at least consider doing some of their courses in Toowoomba. It would not only help broaden your vision about life but would also provide you with an opportunity to interact with a multi-cultural society at USQ.”
