Qasim Butt graduated in Information Systems from Deakin University Australia in 2006 before he joined the USQ Australia MBA Strategic Marketing program at MDi Business School . He was in the software industry locally and internationally within the web, mobile, digital marketing and data warehousing domains for 9 years. He was involved in specialist and leading roles, managing technical projects and teams simultaneously. He is currently working for a multinational corporation dealing in satellite broadcasting in a senior role. This is what he has to say about his experience at MDi:
After completing my bachelor degree, I had always wanted to pursue the postgraduate studies that would enable me to stand out in the local and international market. As a full-time employed individual, however, it was only possible for me to study part-time. After starting the MBA program at MDi, I realized it was a really good decision as I found the program syllabus and structure to be of high quality.
I had access to both USQ Australia professors as well as local lecturers. I was also able to access USQ lectures, slides, podcasts and forums to discuss assignments, concepts and academic problems. All assignments were industry relevant. I found I had to conduct a thorough research of academic journals and market information in order to score decent grades.
The evening classes organized by MDi were very valuable not just for academic learning but also for professional networking with other fellow students most of whom are mature working professionals from different industries and sectors. Throughout my degree, I was assisted by MDi in helping me to manage my study schedule and exam arrangements while coping with the requirements of work and travel commitments.
I am thankful to Amna Mughal (Program Coordinator), Asad Zaidi (MDi CEO) and everyone in the MDi team for their support.
