Imran Khalid graduated in June 2013 with an MBA International Business from USQ Australia at MDi Business School. He was employed as Deputy Contracts Manager with Alcatel Lucent Pakistan at the time. Due to his hectic work schedule, he needed a flexible program that allowed him to complete the MBA at his own pace. Imran completed the MBA gradually – sometimes taking just one course a semester. On his graduation, this is what he had to say about his experience:
I always thought of doing my MBA from a highly reputed business school. However, doing so would have meant having to quit my job and relocate from Islamabad. As this was not possible, I started looking for alternatives. After a thorough research on different business schools in and around Islamabad, I finally found MDi that was offering an Australian MBA degree in Pakistan.
Initially, I I had doubts as to how one can have the same degree as the on-campus Australian degree by studying here in Islamabad. After investigating about MDi and its Australian programs offered in Islamabad from Higher Education Commission (HEC), I was finally convinced.
The admission criteria at MDi were the same strict and professional criteria as in Australia. In fact, all admissions into USQ programs at MDi have to be processed and approved directly by the university in Australia. Right after taking my first semester at MDi, I started feeling the difference of studying an International MBA. The experience all these years has been exceptionally good.
During my degree tenure, I got the support I needed from local staff and tutors at MDi as well as directly from the university’s main campus in Australia through the various USQ course leaders.
Today after completing my degree and graduating, I feel much more confident and equipped with the skills and expertise required to excel as a professional. Thank you MDi!
